FABRICATION (WIP)
I am a fourth year student at the University of Tennessee within their Bachelor of Architecture program.
Currently, I am working as a research assistant with Professor Mark Stanley on researching speculative futures in the Oak Ridge region and am a part of Space and Building Fabrication for the College of Architecture and Design at the university.
My current interests are in urban planning and urban zoning and how to make city’s better for the future through the use of architecture. Programs that have helped me with this have been working with the Civic Design Center during my study abroad in Nashville and using various GIS software to analyze and act. Other interests include the creation of handheld fabrication models and scene building in various render software.

This project explores the intersection of sound, architecture, and media through the design of a streetscape along North Broadway in Knoxville, informed by research into the concept of a "rage pundit"—a figure who uses anger, influence, and chaos to divide audiences for profit.
The structure is organized into three distinct programs and soundscapes: newsrooms, media areas, and the Geese Overstimulation Room (G.O.R.). Each space is designed to create unique auditory experiences, from the controlled acoustics of the newsrooms to the overwhelming loudness of the G.O.R., and the tranquil serenity of the Nest on the western side.
Inspired by natural bird nests, particularly those of geese, the design incorporates fluid, organic forms that contrast with the rigid geometry of the media spaces. The Nest, located at the rear of the structure, offers a peaceful retreat with public access through a sloped landscape that blends seamlessly into the surrounding site. Piping within the Nest produces calming white noise, enhancing the atmosphere of tranquility for visitors seeking respite from the bustling streetscape.
The Geese Overstimulation Room, a centerpiece of the project, features "Geese Isolation Pods" where patrons can engage with geese at maximum volume, highlighting the absurdity and chaos of overstimulation. The design emphasizes phenomenological interactions, with sound waves depicted throughout the site to illustrate the sensory impact of each programmatic element. Transparent materials, strategic lighting, and dynamic forms create a layered and visually striking structure that fosters both reflection and engagement.
This project offers a provocative exploration of soundscapes and their role in shaping human experiences, blending absurdity, tranquility, and chaos into an architectural dialogue that invites both interaction and introspection.
